The "symbol" of Mars and the TRUE enemy of weakness. Workout 5/28/11



Nothing destroys weakness better then strength. Strength is apathy’s
natural predator. Strength is the destroyer of depression. Strength breeds
courage which puts an end to cowardice. Strength lends it’s self to tactics
rather than the folly of despair and lastly strength is the will applied to
overcome, to achieve, and attain victory.



Nothing
builds strength like time under heavy iron. Strength is forged in tension,
hammered into the spirit and body by sustained force and fueled by a fiery
passion only the strong could know. “Hardship conditions men”. Steel sharpens
steel. It the great lesson of Mars.



To endure
in what is difficult is to earn strength. To place yourself under the great
iron hammer of the divine smiths and let the beating of it against you flesh
out a better, harder and sharper you while the fire of effort causes your body to
purify it’s self through the baptism of sweat. This is a spiritual devotion.



Your mind
can hold no other focus then the task at mind. Your will must sustain your
flesh. Your flesh must bear a heavy burden. You merge into a single being of
mind-body-spirit. All of your separate factions brought together and firing together
as one unstoppable whole. This is the essence of “unification”. The mighty war
formation of Mars all the individuals acting as an engine of power. This is
strength.



Study the
symbol of Mars; a spearhead thrusting out of a circle. What does this mean? The
circle is the unification of mind-body-spirit, a collective “whole”, gathered together.
This is the “base” of strength. Power contained and brought under control. The
spearhead is the directed will-force, fueled by the power of strength, and piercing
through any obstacle because of its “razor focus” or “sharp intent”.



My mentor has
encouraged me to strive to live my life in accordance with the wisdom found in
the symbol of Mars and to share it with others. To gather my strength, or my “forces”
or my “army” and like a general direct that power with “razor focus”. The
I-Ching places this as #7 “A Collective Force” or “The Army” known as Earth
over Water “The battle is on. A collective force seeks a worthy leader”. – I-Ching.



The circle
of the symbol of Mars is also the shield. The shield protects you from the
would-be injuries of others. The shield in this case is the application of your
intent. You simply keep doing your desire and do it so strongly and with so
much dedication that all the nay-says break themselves against you. You will
find your greatest safety will come in the danger of “doing”.



So gather
your forces. Develop strength to dispel weakness. Assume the formation of your
life and march on! Collect your armies, sharpen your focus, and hold your shield
high. There is a war on against your mind, your spirit and your body. You have
been under attack since the day your where born. The goal is to tear you down,
dull your mind and break your will. When you are weak you will not question
with the TV tells you and you will buy what the TV sells you. You will believe
in fictional threats and trust that useless and even dangerous products are
good for you.



Weakness
and despair will agree that the poison they sold you to make you sick can only
be cured with more poison. You will begin to believe that weakness is strength
and war is peace. You will become a sheep stuffed with state sponsored feed and
lose that part of you that is a wild and ferocious wolf that forever hungers
for the raw meat of truth.

*40kg Kettlebell onehand over head press. Goal 20 in a row. Current rep chain, 11-7-2

*Front Pull. Goal 10 in a row with triple yellow. Current rep chain, 5 with triple yellow and 5 with triple red.

* Ivanko Super Gripper setting 11/8. Goal 10 in a row. Currently 9 reps.

I have been through some life-altering adjustments in the last couple of weeks. Lord Mars laid waste to my old life. With a mighty stroke of his spear, he sent me to crawl off and assess my wounds. In hindsight, I intuitively knew it was coming. I knew I required more room to grow than my current situation could afford me. My progress had become stifled. Sons of Mars must always march on.
