Cultivate the "driving force".
The astrological sign of Aries and the planetary symbol of Mars are rooted in the same idea. A fearsome spear point/set of horns set behind an unstoppable force driving the focused edge deep and further into your target. The sharpened edge of intent behind an breakable and never yielding will-force. Meditation on the astrological sign of Aries can help tap into this awesome and sometimes startling power we all have available to us. This act is a very high level linking of mind with body. You mind will drive your body to continue driving forward and master your "nerve-fore" to contract you muscles harder and harder. Putting this spiritual/mental concept into physical practice will, overtime, defeat a bio-feed back loop that tells the body to release muscular contraction. You will instead show dominion over yourself and force the muscle to ignore that instruction and continue manifesting physical strength... with in turn will be proof of increased spiritual strength. "
After ever display of power there is a period in which the is a loss of strength" -I-Ching "GREAT POWER" Thunder/Heaven #34
The above statement is true. The driving force of Aries will eventually wane; however, the more you practice manifesting this force, the longer you can sustain it and the great levels of its raw power maintained for better durations of time.
The Turkish Get Up is a prefect exercise of this, as is the over head press as you are channeling strength up form your legs and directing that force up through your core and out through your arm(s)... physically becoming the symbol of Mars.
Another exercise I like to use in training my self to defeat the bio-feed back loop is to make a fist as hard as I can for 5-10 minutes and each time I feel my fist decreasing strength/contraction I force it to squeeze even harder.
The stronger and longer we can extert your sustained will-force over what we want in life the more power we will exert and the more control we will have. Yes, there will come a time of weakness from such exertions; however, this is natural, and rest is not only healthy but allows you time for reflection and deeper calculations on your next "power play".
